Elite runners spend most of their time training, not racing. A few minutes of glory reflects weeks (even months) of intense training and careful recovery. This film serves to illuminate the time between the "spikes" (both the races and the shoes worn to win them).

The film in its entirety was shot in a 24 hour period in Bellingham, Washington where Donn resides and trains under coach Peter Oviatt.
