Record-breaking marathoner Ryan Hall has been working with elite triathlete coach Matt Dixon on various aspects of his training, including adopting a wholly new approach to recovery. Recovery, says Matt, founder of PurplePatch Fitness, shouldn't be an afterthought; when athletes at all levels prioritize recovery - giving it the same importance as their training workouts and other aspects of their preparation for an event, like nutrition and hydration - they'll find they have much more consistent, and enjoyable, performances.
